Four persons were today killed and 20 others injured, seven of them critically, when a tractor-trolley carrying them overturned near Amarpur in Tikamgarh district, the police said.
As per the initial investigation, the incident occurred when the driver of the tractor-trolley lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn, according to police.
Badagaon police station inspector Virendra Singh Chauhan said 13 of the injured persons were admitted at a local hospital, while the critically injured at the district hospital.
The deceased are identified as Mangiya (60), Bhuria Bai (50), Nauni Bai (60), and Pankhu Rajak (70).
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, Chauhan added.
