Transporters said fall in cargo movements, sparked by heavy position of trucks, mainly pulled down freight rates.
Delhi to Surat, Pune and Kolkata rates moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 32,000 and Rs 33,000 respectively.
Rates to Mumbai, Chennai and Coimbatore also went down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 30,000, Rs 69,000 and Rs.73,000.
