Freight rates decline on restricted cargo movements

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market today largley due to restricted cargo movements against easy position of trucks.
Transporters said restricted cargo movements against easy availability of trucks in the markets mainly pulled down freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Mysore, Coimbatore and and Bangalore freight rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 66,000, Rs 67,000 and Rs 62,000, respectively.
Rates to Kolkata, Baroda and Surat also dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 28,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 24,000, respectively.
