Transporters said insufficient cargo movements and heavy position of trucks in the markets led to fall in freight rates.
Delhi to Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi rates fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 65,500, Rs 67,000 and Rs 76,000, respectively.
Thiruvananthapuram, Surat, Ahmedabad and Indore rates also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 79,000, Rs 28,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 23,500, respectively.
