Freight rates for select destinations go up

Freight rates for nine-tonne load for select southern destinations were higher by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks.
Transporters said increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks mainly pushed up southern destinations' freight rates.
Freight rates from Delhi to Bangalore, Chennai and Mysore rose by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 68,000, Rs 71,000 and Rs 72,000, respectively.
The following are today's freights per 10-tonne load: Jaipur 19,500 Hyderabad 58,000
Chandigarh 20,500 Vijayawada 60,000
Ludhiana 21,500 Bangalore 68,000
