Freight rates up on less availability of trucks

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for Gwalior and Jaipur improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight position of trucks against increased cargo movements.
Besides pick-up in cargo movements, tight position of trucks pushed up Gwalior and Jaipur freights, transporters said.
Delhi to Gwalior and Jaipur rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 17,000 and Rs 21,000.
