French tourist killed in road accident

A French tourist today died after being run over by a speeding car at Chawngte in Mizoram, police said.
Didier Gauthier (50) was fatally hit by the car which tried to avoid a possible collision with a taxi this morning.
The Foreign Regional Registration Officer in Delhi was informed about the incident, which in turn would apprise the French Embassy, police said.
