Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said that the Food Security Ordinance would be implemented in the state in such a way that it would be a 'model' for other states.
"My government is very sensitive and keeping transparency in public welfare schemes. Hence we want FSO to be effected like a model which other states could follow", Gehlot told a gathering after laying a foundation of mini-secretariat building at Alwar.
All state departments would be functioning under one roof (mini-secretariat) so that public could save their time to expedite their works at one go, Gehlot said.
Similarly, the efforts were being made to provide facilities to villagers at Gram Panchayat level under Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra, Gehlot said.
Railway tickets and utilities bills' payment at these Seva Kendras were yet to be initiated, he added.
Earlier this month CM has constituted a task force on FSO under the chairmanship of chief secretary to identify the beneficiaries of the flagship programmes which will most likely
to be kicked off from August 20.
The state government would first identify more than 40 lakh people for FSO. Nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes, homeless and non-nomads will be identified for the schemes, according to the sources.
