District police have chalked out a full-proof security plan for BJP's Prime Ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi, who will to address a rally at Shipra Ground in Indirapuram area here tomorrow.
According to police officers, around 3,000 police personnel would be deployed at the rally venue and every police station's anti-terrorism cell has been activated.
Police said that as per security plan, one SSP, one SP, four Additional SPs, 14 SHOs, 111 sub-inspectors, 2 women sub-inspectors, 80 head-constables, 950 constables, 82 women constables and one company of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) would be deployed in and around the venue, adding that around 10 metal detectors have been installed at entry points.
"Besides, Narendra Modi would be guarded by NSG personnel and special Gujarat Police. Quick Response Teams (QRT) and bomb disposal squads have been kept on stand-by. People coming to rally venue would be frisked," Superintendent of Police (city) Shiv Hari Meena told PTI.
Due to Modi's rally where thousands of people are expected to flock to venue, traffic would be affected on National Highway 24, UP Gate and Gazipur border.
On the other hand, the BJP is also leaving no stone unturned to make the rally a success.
"The turnout could be more than 70,000. Six LCDs have been installed at the venue so that people could see Modi, who would come to Ghaziabad in a helicopter," Ashok Monga, BJP Ghaziabad's unit president, said.
