27-year-old man in the city by throwing a country bomb and hacking him to death, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Muhammed Yasin, was waylaid last night by the gang who came in an autorickshaw and a two-wheeler.
As the bomb fell on the road and exploded, the assailants attacked him with sickles before fleeing. The injured man died on the way to hospital, police said.
Police said the victim's uncle was murdered recently and Yasin had allegedly threatened some persons not to tell anything against him in the case in the court.
