Gang of thieves busted

Police today claimed to have busted a gang of thieves with the arrest of three persons in Indirapuram area here.
The accused were nabbed, based on a tip-off, from Mangal Chowk, Neeti Khand area they said.
Gold and silver ornaments, cash worth Rs one lakh, USD 1000, three laptops, 10 mobile phones, one camera, seven watches and an Indica Car were recovered from them, police said.
The three accused identified as -- Shiva of West Bengal, Anuj of Bulandshahr and Meer Singh of Aligarh used to target residents of high-rise buildings in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Upon interrogation the accused have admitted to nearly two dozen cases of theft in the NCR region amongt them and 12 cases have been reported from Ghaziabad, Sahibabad, and Kavinagar Police Stations, police said.
