Ganja seized from ambulance

About 400 kg ganja were seized by police from an ambulance near Mudia in Seraikela-Kharswan district today.
The ambulance was chased when its driver made an attempt to flee during checking of vehicles on the Seraikela-Chaibasa road. It stopped when the vehicle hit a road side kiosk, police said.
The driver and his helper managed to escape.
About 400 kgs of ganja, worth around Rs 40 lakh, were found in the ambulance while being transported to Bengal from Odisha, police said.
