Geologist P N Bose remembered

Recalling his contribution to the setting up of the Tata Steel here, eminent geologist P N Bose was paid homage by the company employees on his 158th birth anniversary today.
It was at the insistence of Bose, the Tatas had set up the company in this mineral rich location, Vice President (Raw Material & Coke,Sinter,Iron) of Tata Steel Partho Sengupta said after paying his homage.
Bose had also set up the Bengal Technical Institute and discovered petroleum in Assam, Tata Workers Union Deputy President S K Choudhary said.
