Get the Delhi government's solar policy probed by the anti-corruption branch or CBI since it has received "worldwide acclaim", Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today taunted Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, with whom he has been locked in confrontation over various issues.
In a fresh letter to Jung, Kejriwal also accused him of "saving" BJP MP Mahiesh Girri and NDMC Vice Chairman Karan Singh Tanwar in the case of murder of an official of the civic body, M M Khan. Girri dared Kejriwal to prove the charges or quit politics.
"The (solar) policy is being discussed throughout the world. Greenpeace has praised it. Even UN climate change has termed it as a big step. Please conduct a CBI raid on Delhi Power Minister Satyender Jain by telling Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Kejriwal wrote.
On Khan's murder, he went on to allege that Jung has "beautifully" saved Girri and Tanwar from questioning by police which, he said, must have "pleased" Modi.
"Now Modiji is fully assured that no matter how much goondaism BJP men partake in, no one will be able to bend a hair. You will save them. And you will keep on framing Aam Aadmi Party by lodging false cases," he said.
This comes a day after the AAP chief wrote to the LG another letter wherein he had remarked that Modi will never make Jung the Vice-President of India.
When contacted, Girri said if Kejriwal has the courage, he should prove the allegations. "If he manages to prove, then I will quit politics, otherwise he should do so."

DMC Vice Chairman Karan Singh Tanwar denied the allegations levelled against him and termed them as "ridiculous" and "bad politics" being played by AAP on the murder of Khan even as he alleged that the role of Kejriwal and his MLA Surinder Singh in the incident is questionable.
"They are playing politics to save the main culprit, the Hotelier. The Chief Minister and his party never demanded for severe punishment for the arrested owner of hotel Ramesh Kakkar and his accomplice but on the other hand is leveling baseless allegations against me just to malign me and my party's image," he said.
Tanwar further asked of "how many crores of rupees agreement has taken place between Kejriwal and his party MLA Surinder Singh who both are Members of NDMC to shield the Hotel Owner and other culprits.
