A 14-year-old girl allegedly ended her life by jumping from the fifth floor of a school building in Bhiwandi town in Thane district on Wednesday, police said.
Mubshira Bano, the deceased, studied in Class 10 at privately-run Ansari Safia Girls Urdu High School in the town.
On Wednesday, she appeared for an internal test, and afterwards she went up to the fifth floor of the building and jumped down, police said.
The school watchman saw her lying in a pool of blood. She was taken to a local hospital first where she was administered primary treatment.
Mubshira was being taken to JJ Hospital in Mumbai for further treatment when she died on the way. Further probe is on, police said.
