Concerned with the "image beating" of the BJP in Goa, facing elections next year, the saffron party will start training its cadres in handling of media and effective countering of criticism.
The party leaders have invited workers from all constituencies in the coastal state tomorrow todiscuss the strategy to handle frequent criticism being faced by the Laxmikant Parsekar-led government.
"Two workers from each of the constituency are invited in Panaji tomorrow. They will be trained in handling criticism against the party and the government," a senior state executive committee member said here today.
He said the workers will also be taught how to address press conferences in their respective constituencies and counter the "false propaganda" against the government.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Parsekar will also attend the meeting scheduled in the BJP office at 11 AM.
"There has been a lot of image beating through social media. This being election year (ahead of 2017 polls), the campaign through social media will continue. We are training the workers on how to counter e-campaign too," he said.
BJP will also discuss its strategy for the forthcoming election to the Corporation of City of Panaji, scheduled in first week of March.
"Also, the party will chalk out a programme on celebrating four years of the BJP-led government in the state on March 4," the leader said.
