Superintendent of Police (ACB) Bosco George told PTI that Kavlekar did not appear before the investigation officer and instead asked for a week's time.
"He has told us that the tickets for his outstation travel were already booked and he will be back only after a week, following which he would remain present," George said.
ACB has filed a case for possessing assets disproportionate to known sources of his income -- about Rs 5 crore -- against Kavlekar, a tribal leader, who headed state-run Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) for seven years through 2012.
