State Joint Secretary (Debt Management) Meenakshi Gad in a notification said the scheme from now would be called as 'Chief Minister's Rojgar Yojana'.
Former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who also had the finance portfolio with him, had in his 2013-14 budget presentation announced to rename the scheme after Dr Verghese Kurien, the father of White Revolution in India.
The flagship scheme is implemented by the state-run Economic Development Corporation (EDC). It aims to provide financial assistance to youths to increase employment.
