GOC-in-C Western Command reviews security situation at border

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, Lieutenant General Philip Campose, today visited forward areas of Jammu region and reviewed security situation against the backdrop of recent ceasefire violations.
During his, the Army Commander interacted with officers and troops of Tiger Division deployed near International Border (IB) in Jammu region, a defence spokesman said.
Major General Ashwani Kumar, GOC, Tiger Division who accompanied the GOC, briefed the Army Commander about the state of present security scenario in the Jammu region.
The Army Commander applauded the state of operational preparedness and expressed his confidence that Tiger Division was prepared for all challenges and would execute the assigned tasks in a befitting manner meeting the aspirations of the nation.

He also lauded the development projects under taken in the border areas by the formation in conjunction with the civil authorities.
