GoDaddy sees growth potential in online presence

GoDaddy, the world's largest provider of domain name registrations, web hosting and new SSL certificates sees growth potential in adoption of websites among small businesses in the country.
"We believe that small businesses and entrepreneurs are the driving force behind India's economy and we are empowering them with the right tools. An increasing number of small businesses in the country are turning to GoDaddy to help them easily and affordably establish their online presence," GoDaddy India Managing Director Rajiv Sodhi told reporters here.
Since its inception in India in August 2012, the company has grown exponentially to become one of the top players in the domain name registration and web hosting space.
"Go Daddy offers a one-stop shop for small businesses and consumers who are looking to grow their businesses on the internet. The company offers domain names for Rs 199 per annum and web hosting plans for Rs 99 a month, he said.
The company has also roped in veterab film actor Mithun Chakraborty to launch the multi-channel campaign aims to educate small businesses in India about the real-world benefits of getting a website.
Go Daddy is based in Scottsdale, Ariz, USA. Internationally, it has data center facilities in Europe and Asia, as well as an office in India and Canada.
