In a statement here today, Gogoi said the state government would be keen to institute an inquiry, if the AGP leaders who alleged that 3,832 teachers committed suicide under the regime of the present (Congress-led) state government, could furnish relevant documents justifying their claim.
He also urged upon the opposition Asom Gana Parishad leadership to furnish district-wise report in support of their claim.
If the detailed report of farmers' suicide was given to the government, an exhaustive inquiry would be ordered very soon, Gogoi said.
