Gogoi urges Centre to implement One Rank One Pension

Assam Chief Minsiter Tarun Gogoi has urged the NDA Government at the Centre to settle the issue of One Rank One Pension (OROP) expeditiously and within an urgent time frame.
In a statement here today Gogoi said "It is shameful for the nation that our war heroes have to resort to fast-unto-death and then humiliated by the police personnel."
Gogoi also urged the Prime Minister to implement OROP to uphold the pride, prestige and morale of the war heroes.
