Mohammed Basheer, belonging to Kerala's Kasaragod district, was found carrying the gold hidden in a suitcase cover and was arrested by customs officials yesterday.
This was the second seizure of gold in the past two days. On February 3, officials had seized 583 gm of gold worth Rs 16.33 lakh from another passenger who arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai. He also belonged to Kasaragod district in Kerala.
