Goundnut oil climbs on rising demand

Groundnut oil prices climbed further at the oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to rising demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts.
While, refined palmolein softened owing to lower retail buying.
Castotseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased slightly following lower offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil held steady in the absence of any major buying.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil surged by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 1,230 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,210, while refined palmolein slipped by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 573 from 574.

Moving to the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,200 from overnight closing level of Rs 3,225 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 670 as against Rs 675 previously.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,250 per 10 kg.
