Govt announces compensation for Barkagaon victims

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today announced Rs two lakh each for the family of the four persons who lost their lives during violence at Barkagaon in Hazaribagh district on October 1.
The people who suffered injuries in the incident would get Rs 25,000 as compensation, an official release said here.
Four persons were killed and several others were injured when police fired at a stone pelting mob in Darhi Kala village under Barkagaon police station area on October 1.
The agitators have certain demands including suspension of mining operation by the NTPC at Chirudih.
