Govt appoints OSDs to two ministers; FM's PS gets addl charge

The government has appointed Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) to Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Najma Heptulla.
Jagmohan Sundriyal, who is working as Director in Rajya Sabha secretariat, has been appointed as OSD to Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.
While, Mahesh C Tiwari, who is also working as Director in the Rajya Sabha secretariat, has been appointed OSD to Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
In another order, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's Private Secretary Simanchala Dash, a 1988 batch Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax cadre) officer, has been given additional charge as PS to Defence Minister.

Jaitley is also the Finance Minister.
The government has also approved the transfer of the posts of Joint Secretary and Ex Officio Mission Director of National Mission for Clean Ganga, and Director of National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) along with the officers holding these charges from Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change to Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, a 1987 batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, is working as Joint Secretary and Ex Officio Mission Director of National Mission for Clean Ganga.
Puskal Upadhyay, a 1998 batch officer of Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), is working as Director, NGRBA.
