Govt not sincere in probing CPI(M) activists murder: CPI(M)

CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today accused the Congress led UDF government in Kerala of insincere in probing the murder of a CPI-M worker Murali allegedly by BJP activists at Kumbala in Kasargod district the other day.
Police has the responsibility to bring the culprits and also those who conspired behind the murder before law, but the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was 'sabotaging' the probe to please Sangh parivar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vijayan said in a statement here.
Calling for a strong protest against the 'criminal activites of RSS and Congress led UDF government's policy, Vijayan said CPI-M would organise Protest Meeting in Party Area Centres on November 6.

Vijayan also said it should be recalled how UDF government acted to please BJP when an RSS activist (Manoj) was killed at Kathiroor in Kannur district.
State government charged the accused with provisions under Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act, Vijayan pointed out.
Murali, DYFI Kumble Block Committee Member and a CPI(M) activist was murdered at Seetangoli on October 27.
