Govt officer attacked during anti-encroachment drive

A senior state govenment official was attacked with stones and lathis by a mob today during an anti-encroachment operation in Bihar's Nawada district.
The mob attacked Circle Officer (CO) Ramjanam Prasad when he was supervising anti-encroachment drive at a chowk on Pakriwa-Warsaliganj road, police sources said.
The officer received injuries.
He was taken to Pakriwa government hospital and later discharged.
An FIR has been lodged in the incident, the sources said adding one person has been arrested.
