"The schools will remain closed for summer vacations from May 10 to June 30, 2016. However, to bridge the gap in learning levels, Directorate of Education (DoE) would be organising remedial classes during for Classes IX and XII during the break," an official notification said.
The classes which will be organised for 3 weeks starting from May 11-May 31 will run from 7.30 AM to 10.30 AM every day. One hour will be devoted to one subject. The head of the schools will be free to choose the subjects to be taught as per the needs of the students.
The Directorate has asked all students to come in proper school uniform for these classes. Only regular teachers of the DoE will be deputed for teaching. However, in case regular teachers are not available for a specific subject, guest teachers may be deputed with the prior approval of both the planning branch and the DDE (District) concerned.
