Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan said the initiatives include successive increase in plan allocation for scientific departments, setting up of science and engineering research board for basic research, offering attractive research fellowships besides others.
"Special measures have been taken to attract and nurture fresh talent for undertaking R&D in the country," he said during Question Hour.
The Minister said some of the targeted programmes include Young Scientist Project Awards Schemes, Early Career Research Award, National Postdoctoral Fellowship Schemes, PM Doctoral Fellowships besides others.
