"Being strategic matter, I would not want to get into this discussion. But I can rest assure you, the government will appropriately respond (to ceasefire violations by Pak) as and when the situation demands", he told reporters here.
Singh was replying to volley of questions with regard to recent incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops.
"I would not like to get into that Prime Minister has already said that it is not us to answer and reply and answer could be seen on the ground", he said.
On Assembly elections in J&K, Singh "We do not get involved in that discussion. Election Commission is an independent body and they are doing their job. We do not want to involved in this issue".
On BJP's Mission 44+ in J&K, he said, "Every political party is fighting elections with regard to their own issues. In the state, BJP is also ready to take a plunge to the electoral battle ground".
