A powerful grenade was recovered today in the Dhekiajuli town in Assam's Sonitpur district.
The grenade was recovered from the campus of a local club - Vivekananda Club, in Ward No 3 of the town when local residents spotted a ten-year-old boy playing with it, a police spokesman said here.
They immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area, while the bomb squad of Red Horns Divisional Engineers reached the site and defused the grenade.
