Groundnut, cottonseed oils fall on subdued demand

Groundnut and cottonseed oil prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from stockists and millers amidst increased arrivals.
On the other hand, linseed oil strengthened on the back of pick up in industrial demand.
Marketmen said besides reduced offtake by stockists and millers, fresh arrivals from growing regions, kept pressure on groundnut and cottonseed mill delivery oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana)oils were down by Rs 50 each at Rs 8,650 and Rs 5,500 per quintal, respectively.
In line with overall trends, groundnut solvent refined (per tin) shed Rs 25 at Rs 1,600-1,650 per tin.

Among non-edible oils, linseed oil on the back of increased demand from paint makers and other consuming industries rose by Rs 50 to Rs 8,350 per quintal.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,650, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,600-1,650, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,050, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,650, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,350, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,500, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,600, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,500 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,375-2,425.

Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,350, Castor Rs 9,850-9,950, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
