Groundnut oil advances on rising demand

Groundnut oil advanced in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to rising demand from retailers.
Refined palmolein eased following lower demand from retailers.
Meanwhile, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
Linseed oil was also unchanged in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 940 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 935 and refined palmolein softened by Re 1 per 10kg to Rs 460.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 3,975 and Rs 825, respectively.

Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 875 per 10 kg.
