In the edible segment, Groundnut oil climbed by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 910 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 900. However, refined palmolein slipped by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 560 as against Rs 563 yesterday.
Moving to futures, castorseeds December contract opened slightly lower at Rs 3,810 and drifted lower to Rs 3,773 before settling at Rs 3,778 from Rs 3,815 previously, showing a loss of Rs 37 per tonne.
