GSFC sees over 3-fold jump in Q3 net profit at Rs 199 cr

State-owned Gujarat State Fertilisers and Chemicals (GSFC) today reported over three- fold jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 199.57 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal on higher income.
The net profit stood at Rs 61.17 crore in the same period of the last year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Net income increased to Rs 1,545.72 crore during October- December of 2017-18 compared to Rs 1,163.65 crore in the year-ago period.
Expenses remained higher at Rs 1,422.75 crore as against Rs 1,113.41 crore in the said period.
In the filing, GSFC said its outstanding subsidy payment from the government stood at Rs 63.67 crore for 2010-2013 and Rs 662.95 crore for Rs 2013-2017.
Shares of the company were trading 4.53 per cent higher at Rs 138.50 apiece at Rs 1430 hours on the BSE today.
