Guar seed prices came down by Rs 37 to Rs 4,587 per quintal in futures trade today on liquidated holdings by the operators in line with lower physical markets cues.
Marketmen mentioned the down trend in guar seed futures prices to thin demand from guar gum makers amid gearing up in supplies from growing regions in the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed delivery for October receded by Rs 37, or 0.80 per cent, to Rs 4,587 per quintal, depicting an open interest of 1,19,450 lots.
Similarly, delivery for November shed by Rs 33.50, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 4,621 per quintal, in an open interest of 8,080 lots.
