Guar seed prices bounced back by Rs 55 to Rs 4,325 per quintal in futures trade today on accumulation of holdings by the participants' due to firm physical market sentiments.
Marketmen said creating of the bets by the investors, bolstered by firm spot markets lead, where prices enquired higher on the back of halt in arrivals from growing belts along with the boost in demand for guar gum makers, mainly led to upmove in guar seed futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guar seed delivery for October jumped up by Rs 55 or 1.29 per cent to Rs 4,325 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,09,290 lots.
In a similar manner, the delivery for November spurted by Rs 48.50 or 1.12 per cent to Rs 4,363 per quintal, showing an open interest of 7,320 lots.
