Market players said a weak trend at the physical markets hit the supplies from growing regions against withdrawal of buying support by guargum makers at prevailing levels, leading to a fall in guarseed prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guarseed for delivery in April lost Rs 42 or 1.06 per cent to Rs 3,931 per quintal, having an open interest of 86,030 lots.
