Guarseed futures spurt on strong demand

Guarseed prices rose by Rs 200 to Rs 5,630 per quintal in futures market today on traders enlarged positions in line with a firm spot as well as overseas markets sentiment.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for July contract climbed by Rs 200, or 3.68 per cent, to Rs 5,630 per quintal, with an open interest of 86 lots.
Near July contract jumped by Rs 190, or 3.55 per cent, to Rs 5,540 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,400 lots.
May contract also shot up by Rs 185, or 3.51 per cent, to Rs 5,450 per quintal, having an open interest of 19,833 lots.
