Guj: Complaint against Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar dismissed

A complaint against Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar, alleging that he provided a fake caste certificate when contesting election from a constituency reserved for scheduled castes, was dismissed by a local court today.
Former municipal councillor Ratna Vora had filed the complaint.
But the magistrate's court noted that Gujarat State Analysing Committee under Social Justice and Empowerment Department was the final authority on caste certificates, and it had held that Parmar's certificates were valid.
Earlier, the Committee too had dismissed Vora's complaint.
Parmar won Assembly election from Sher Kotda SC constituency of the city in 2007, and from Danilimbda SC constituency last year.
