Guj Cong to decide probable candidates for by-polls tomorrow

As part of the exercise to select the panel of probable candidates for the by-polls in nine assembly and one Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat on September 13, the state Congress leaders will meet here tomorrow.
"State Election Committee of Congress will hold a meeting at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan tomorrow evening to prepare a panel of names of probable candidates. That panel will be then sent to High Command in Delhi for final approval and announcement," said Gujarat Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi here today.
State Congress had already sent observers in each constituency to hold discussion with local leaders and party workers, who can suggest maximum three names, he said.

"Leaders and party workers can recommend at least one and maximum three names. Today, such exercise was done in Maninagar seat. After tomorrow's meeting, our leaders Arjun Modhwadia and Shankersinh Vaghela will go to Delhi on August 20 to hand over the final list of probables," said Doshi.
