Guj govt transfers 10 senior IAS officers

The Gujarat government today transferred 10 senior IAS officers, including Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in Home Department, P K Taneja, who has now been appointed as ACS, Industries and Mines Department.
The reshuffle comes just days after Vijay Rupani took over as the new Chief Minister.
Taneja has been replaced by M S Dagur, who is serving as ACS in Forest and Environment Department, a notification issued by the General Administration Department, said.
Arvind Agrawal, ACS in the Industries and Mines Department, has been shifted as ACS, Forests and Environment Department.
Vice Chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) A K Rakesh has been transferred and appointed as the Principal Secretary of Cottage and Rural Industries department.
Rakesh has been replaced by Mukesh Puri, Principal Secretary of Narmada, Water Supply and Kalpsar department.
Apart from being the VP and CEO of GMB, Puri will handle Ports as Principal Secretary.
Until further orders, Puri will hold the additional charge of Narmada, Water Supply and Kalpsar department, stated the notification.
Vipul Mitra, serving as Principal Secretary in Ports and Transport department, has been made Principal Secretary of Transport while Ports department has been alloted to Puri.
ACS in Health and Family Welfare department Anil Mukim has been transferred in Finance department as ACS, reliving Taneja of additional charge. Mukim will continue to hold the additional charge of ACS of Personnel division in GAD.
Commissioner of Health, Medical Services and Medical Education J P Gupta will hold the additional charge of ACS of Health and Family welfare.
Rajiv Kumar Gupta, serving as Principal Secretary for Primary and Secondary Education, has been transferred to Labour and Employment Department as Principal Secretary.
The current Principal Secretary of that department L Chuaungo has been appointed in place of Gupta in the Primary and Secondary Education department.
