"While our pandal is a replica of the world famous Somnath Temple, a must see for lakhs of visitors, the Gujarat Tourism Board has set up stalls where Amitabh Bachchan's baritone as ambassador of Gujarat can be heard as a documentary on that state is screened throughout the day," Durga Mukherjee said on behalf of the organisers.
The recreated Somnath temple is a 45-feet-high structure spread across 3,000 sq ft.
"We have taken pictures of the pandal and it is difficult to make out the real one from a distance," a Gujarat Tourism Board stall employee said.
