Guns with fake licences seized from private security agency

Police today seized 12 guns, with fake licences, from the office of a private security agency in the city today.
Based on a tip-off, police raided the office at Masakalipalayam in Singanallur and seized the single and double barrel guns.
Interrogations with the staff revealed that the guns were meant for distribution for the security staff on duty in some corporate offices or ATMs, police said.
However, the licences were found to be fake, they said, adding, investigations are on in different angles, including the purpose of keeping such guns and also who issued the fake licences.
