Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijendra Gupta today met Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and sought his help in getting a compensation for the family of a seven-year-old boy who had died after falling into an open drain in May.
Anas' parents were also present at the meeting with the LG.
Gupta alleged that no minister or official of the Delhi government visited the spot where Anas had died.
He said he had written a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, seeking a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the boy's family nothing has materialised so far.
The BJP leader also urged the LG to direct the Delhi government to cover all open drains and manholes which fall under its jurisdiction.
