Gur closes quiet on little doings

Quiet conditions emerged at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices after hovering both ways on little bouts of buying and selling, finally pegged same on last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled steady in the absence of any worthwhile moving activities.
Marketmen said muted demand due to offseason amid negligible arrivals, mainly held gur prices unaltered.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,000- 3,375, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,125-3,200.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,175-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400- 3,450.
