Gur prices tumbled down by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today following increased arrivals from manufacturing belts amid thin demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also declined by Rs 100 per quintal on constant supplies amid weak demand.
Marketmen said ample stocks following increased supplies amid slackened demand led to the fall in prices.
In Delhi, gur Pedi, Dhayya and Shakkar prices lost Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 3,200-3,300, Rs 3,400-3,500 and Rs 3,500-3,600 per quintal.

Prices of gur Raskat also fell by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 2,650-2,650 per quintal on sluggish demand from beer makers.
