Gur ends steady on ample stocks

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market settled on a steady note in the national capital today as prices continued to be move in a tight range on scattered deals amid ample stocks position and settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady.
Marketmen said ample stocks on increased supplies from producing belts against some buying activity mainly kept prices at previous levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,800-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,700.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
