Gur price remains steady on little demand

There was no change in the pattern of trading at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital as prices moved in a tight range on little buying and selling spree due to off-season, pegged same on last levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted similar trend in the absence of buying support.
Marketmen said sluggish demand due to offseason, along with restricted arrivals mainly held freight rates on last levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,900-4,000, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,400-3,450, chakku Rs 3,425-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
